Join The Venture Out Project as a Volunteer Outdoor Leader

The Venture Out Project (TVOP) volunteers bring LGBTQIA+ folks together to get outside with their local communities, challenge themselves in positive group settings, develop and expand their wilderness skill sets, and find meaningful, long-lasting connections with each other and the outdoors.  

As a TVOP volunteer, you'll be expected to host at least 4 events a year, supported by comprehensive training and consistent contact from TVOP's program managers and other volunteers.  Working within the guidelines of TVOP’s volunteer program, you'll have a lot of agency in hosting and advertising your events.  Volunteers for TVOP have put on all kinds of events: hikes, XC ski days, climbing nights, intro to backpacking clinics, and many more!

TVOP is  looking for up to 4 volunteers in the Bay Area to join their volunteer cohort! Volunteers will work local to their area, with remote support provided by organizational headquarters.
